Our brewery tours begin in the ‘Flak’ Shack, a convivial meeting point on our brewery site where beer is served before the tour.
It is here that Head Brewer Terry, his brewing assistant Jack or another of the Flack Pack Team provide a light introduction. The tour then begins … taking in and sampling the raw ingredients before seeing the double drop brewing process unfold before your eyes.
Keen to use one of our nation’s traditional methods for producing real ale- the Double Drop brewing method- Nigel joined forces with Ann Stantiford and Terry Baker, forming a strong team to take on the mantle. The three directors felt a natural affiliation with the town, having met and regaled in stories past told by Henry Slater, Strong’s last Managing Director. Flack Manor Brewery was born in 2010 and the Flack brand evolved as a result of some very special history surrounding the area.
Join us on a guided tour of the Brewery, meet the Andwell’s Team and learn how we craft our quality real ales.
You’ll get the opportunity to sample the floor-malted hand-raked barley, take in the sweet aroma of hops and see the fermentation process by which the finest ingredients are skillfully combined to create a perfect pint. And what better way to end the tour than with a tasting of our beers.
