Fancy doing something a little bit different? For those of you who have yet to visit our home in Southwold you are in for a treat. Behind the walls of our Victorian building lies one of the most modern breweries in the UK, we’ve even added a distillery now too. Come and explore behind the scenes and discover how we create our award-winning beers and spirits, or get creative and make your very own gin!
Adnams Brewery has a long and rich heritage. Beer has been brewed on the same site as the present brewery for at least 670 years. We are proud of our history and Adnams today looks towards the future and continues to innovate and evolve. Whilst there are gaps along the way, we’ve picked out a few of our highlights over the years.
By car from the west, take the A14 east to join the A1120 at Stowmarket. Take the A1120 to Yoxford, then join the A12 heading north. Take the A1095 turn off for Southwold. Alternatively, take the A12 from East London, past Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich and follow directions above. For the sailors amongst you, tack into Southwold Harbour and walk across the common.
